Determining which material to use is based off size, functional use and equipment capabilities. Materials choices may include wood, metal, or plastics.

I want a leather patch on a jacket.

With your favorite software, it's time for the design to come to life. Start with a tool layer to identify product size. Importing components from third parties can greatly simplify the project. Bring the components together to match your vision.
Real Example:
Found components, pilot wings, drone, proper font.
